Loesings

The Loesings are the maternal side of JunieBaby's family. This family history is taken from some hand-written notes by Theresa Rose Loesing Aleff (JunieBaby's mother), that we found in an old scrapbook.

JunieBaby's great-grandmother (her mother's maternal grandmother) was named Theresa Lüble Koehne and passed away at the age of 71 in July, 1909. She was born in Germany. Theresa Rose did not know anything about Theresa L. Koehne's husband or the grandparents on her father's side of the family, other than they were all from Germany.

Rosa Frasina was from West Prussia. She was born on 9/2/1840 and married in 1859 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She died in April, 1922 at the age of 82.

Theresa Rose's paternal grandfather was Herman August Loesing from Prussia, Germany. He was born on December 31st, 1832 and immigrated to Wisconsin in 1853. He married Rosa Frasina in 1859. They had a son, Herman August Loesing, born in Sheboygan on February 25, 1861.

Herman August Loesing (son) graduated from Oshkosh Normal School and married Cresensia on August 14, 1881. He died on October 27, 1929 at 68 years of age.

Cresensia Lieble Loesing, Theresa Rose's mother, was born in Germany on October 27, 1866, married Herman, and had five children:

Albert Loesing
Clara Loesing Kummer
Arthur Loesing

Theresa Rose Loesing Aleff was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on October 22, 1888. She married Joseph William Aleff on June 21, 1910 and had three children:

Kenneth Gordon Aleff
Howard Joseph Aleff
June Edith Marion Aleff (a.k.a.: JUNIEBABY!)

Theresa Rose passed away in the fall of 1974 at the age of 86. Her brother Herman was 88 and he died the day after Theresa's funeral.
